Structured Progression for Canyoneering Excellence

Training Pathway

Structured progression. Tested competency. Leadership earned.

The American Canyoneering Association provides a clear, standards-based training pathway for canyon travelers and professionals. Our progression builds technical competence, sound judgment, environmental stewardship, and leadership capacity — step by step.

2026 course offerings focus on Desert Canyoneering.

ACA's Dual Discipline Approach

The American Canyoneering Association provides expert instruction in both Desert Canyoneering and Swiftwater Canyoning. While our current offerings highlight Desert Canyoneering and Rescue programs, future seasons will introduce swiftwater courses, expanding our comprehensive training portfolio.
